Bye Bye Beye - Devastating News!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news... I'm afraid star player Habib Beye has left Aston Villa by mutual consent.

Yet another of the mad buys from Martin O'Neill.

A club statement read:

Aston Villa can confirm that defender Habib Beye has left by mutual agreement with the club.

The 34-year-old Senegal international is free to make permanent his move to Doncaster Rovers.

Beye joined the Championship club on an emergency loan in November 2011.

He made 15 starts at Villa and three more appearances as a substitute having arrived from Newcastle in August 2009.

Gutted, just thank God we've still got Heskey eh lads? Chins up.
The Fear
The mad thing is he was Newcastle's player of the season the year before we bought him (although was that the year they were relegated!?)
Adam Deuce
15 stArts?! Didn't realize it was that many...
Francobaresi13
Heskey, take note.
soccer15
Bloody hell first Barry, then Milner followed by Downing and Young.... Beye really is the last straw.... I blame McLeish
fatloser
We are in trouble! how can you replace players of Beye's quality?? he sat there week in week out keeping himself occupied by his iPhone just itching raring to play for us LOL
clivethevillan
Why didn't we let him go earlier and bring someone else in? He was on big wages wasn't he? When is "Mission: Wage Bill" finished?
Stephen Jay Hawkings
@Stephen Jay Hawkings don't you mean "mission impossible: wage bill"?;)
Avfc94 we do
well I bloody hope it's not Mission Impossible: Wage Bill, otherwise we'll be playing the youths on £200 a week and even then they'll be offloading the "high earners" lol
Stephen Jay Hawkings
Anyone know a good counsellor? My day just got a whole lot worse.
son_of_cher
What's McLeish on? Any chance we could get him off the wage bill too?
Stephen Jay Hawkings
I just hope it was mutual consent and we didn't have to pay another whopping compensation fee. Would Beye make it into the top ten worst villa signings ever?
Lion Heart
When he played, he was far better than Hutton and the Scottish thug has played more games for us than Beye already!!!!!
Villan444
ClivetheVillan, under the current Numpty of a Manager we will have many more Beye's around the place before long.
kevinl48
Let's just say; McLeish is on a bigger wage than he should be.
Avfc94 we do
Another one of the whiners on ridiculous wages gone. Whoot. Shame it never worked out but you'd have thought it woukdn't have taken 2 years to figure he couldn't really play football
Fenrison
Lion Heart: good question. Why would anyone give up six months of a lucrative contract?
Gordonsleftboot
My exact thought as soon as I heard it GordonsLB. He certainly seemed quite content not playing and picking up his wages. Why the sudden rush with only 6 months to go? Surely he's not that desperate to play for Doncaster!
Lion Heart
He will have been paid off. Probably not the full value of his remaining contract, but something approaching it less the value of what Doncaster pay him between now and the end of June. My guess would be around 750k.
2big4seatswannastand
Well that is cause for celebration. If we survive in the PL this season and Idiot leaves, perhaps we could have a street party for a triple celebration......
Pride of Lions
How long has Hutton got left on his contract ? lol
Merlin128777
I'm in one of those moods today, so I'm going to say something positve about the ginger one. His transfers so far have been one brilliant keeper (tick), one seriously ropey right back (cross), one alledgedly superb attacker (jury out), an unknown young left back (jury out but the of gamble we've been calling for for ages) and a loan deal for someone who split the fans opinions but who most have to admit has looked decent so far (tick). The outs were pretty much all done before he arrived so not a terrible record so far given the financial issues at the club
AVbornandbred
AVbornandbred I agree! Not quite all hail Mcleish but definately a positive. I would say the ginger one's transfer record is already better than MON's.
villabikes29
Got told on Facebook I should have called this article Bye Bye Beye Beye, Bye Bye! lol Brilliant.
The Fear
Kevinl48 i really hope not m8, we can ill afford any more wage sappers sucking the financies dry, Mcleish so far has spent £9million (approx) on N 'zogbia, £4million on hutton pfff, £4million on Given and to be fair i would say only Hutton is not the greatest spent, Given and N'zogbia are decent fee's i believe, but will Randy keep Mcliesh in the summer??
clivethevillan
If we keep the current strategy of cutting the wage bill Mcleish will be here for years to come. No other manager would join us under those conditions .. made even harder by the boards stipulation of getting a manager with prem experience. With those criteria McLeish is the only person available who would would manage us .. both strategies need to change before we get a decent manager in ...
ByEck
Where on earth did you find a picture of him in this year's kit???? :)
gmvillan
see hes back on the sidelines at doncaster this time after getting sent off lol
Merlin128777
Why didnt we use Newcastles trick and make Heskey our player of the year last season? Maybe Man City would have bid £10m for him, would seem a bargain compared to Dzecko who in my opinion would not make a Sunday team!
