Marc Albrighton has said that Gary Gardner more than deserves the plaudits for his recent rise into the first team and he thinks he thoroughly deserves it. Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Albrighton described Gardner as 'one of the most down to earth guys I know' and says he is constantly striving to improve himself on the pitch. All the transfer window press links and nearly all wrong: The Press Strike Out For Villa Rumours This Jan!

Villa's second string clash against Fulham has been moved over weather concerns. The game was originally set to take place on February 6 at Hinckley, but will now take place on February 7 at Bodymoor Heath with a 1.30pm kick off.

Speaking to the Official Site McLeish said that the club had carried out it's plans for this transfer window but targets were being tracked for the summer. In fact he says he has 'definite plans' for the summer. 'We've never waivered from our intentions for this window. The chairman still wants to steer towards the financial stability and I think you can tell by the lack of business throughout that's the case at a lot of other clubs aswell. But we have definite targets and we have definite plans on what we can do.' Full article: McLeish Has Plans For The Summer

Darren Bent has told AVFC.co.uk that he hopes his next 100 goals are at Villa. {Reading between the lines, he wants out doesn`t he?!?!?} Bent scored his 100th league goal last night against QPR and then said that it means the world to him. 'It was fantastic to score my 100th in a Villa jersey. That meant a lot to me. It meant the world to me actually. There was obviously speculation about me in the January transfer window. But I don't want to go anywhere. I am fully committed to this great club.' (again with the hinting that he wants out.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Full article + Gabby update: Bent Wants 100 At Villa

Thought for the day: Apparently, 1 in 5 people in the world are Chinese. And there are 5 people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother Colin. Or my younger brother Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin.
