'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Albrighton Praises Gardner

Marc Albrighton has said that Gary Gardner more than deserves the plaudits for his recent rise into the first team and he thinks he thoroughly deserves it.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Albrighton described Gardner as 'one of the most down to earth guys I know' and says he is constantly striving to improve himself on the pitch.

'Every time I speak to him he wants to learn as a player and get better and better. He has been fantastic for the reserves and youth sides the last couple of seasons.'

Albrighton also thinks he has earnt his recent praise after recovering so well from his horrific knee injury. Despite the period of time out, he's stayed strong mentally and is more than making up for lost time.
