A Favour For A Fellow Villa Fan

A Favour For A Fellow Villa Fan

Folks, can you do a favour for a fellow Villa fan doing a dissertation please. A quick survey: (www.surveymonkey.com/s/commercialisation-of-sport-survey ) It only takes five minutes and will help him greatly.

He said:

I'm 21, a Villa fan all my life and a season ticket holder for the past 10 years

I'm doing my dissertation on the media's role in the commercialisation of sport. I'm studying History and Media, Culture and Society at University of Birmingham.

The commercialisation of football is an issue that's becoming increasingly topical; the broadcasting of games, the economic disparity in the league and the disillusionment of fans due to the lack of competitiveness between these 'elite' teams and the rest of us. These are all issues I'm dealing with in my dissertation and I know it's something we can all be passionate about.

This survey is part of a study to asses 'The media`s role in the commercialisation of sport and its effect on attendances`.

It comprises a possible 22 questions regarding your habits when watching your favoured sport, and thoughts on the commercialisation of your favoured sport. There is also a 'Review` section to help improve the survey in future.

The results will only be used for academic purposes. Totally anonymity will be maintained.
