Gabby Agbonlahor A One Club Man

Gabby Agbonlahor A One Club Man

Gabby Agbonlahor has laughed off speculation that he might leave Aston Villa.

In quotes across the press today, these from www.independent.co.uk he says again, that he is a one man club.

Gabby action

'I think other clubs know how much I love playing for Villa. I don't think there's ever been a bid for me. They know this is a club I want to stay at and it's somewhere it would be hard to get me to leave."

Gabby tackling

Adding, 'It's the same at other clubs who have players who are that club through and through - like Steven Gerrard at Liverpool."

He also says that Darren Bent has also paid no attention to the constant press talk of a move:

'To be fair to Darren, he's just got on with his football, got another goal last week, and all he can do is concentrate on his games here."

Bent hands to ears

Ha, I agree with this but I wish there were a few more at the moment, this transfer window is SO boring (for most clubs to be fair, I run the whole network and our traffic is always boosted by good transfer rumours but this January there are slim pickings! LOL)

'It's crazy the number of transfer rumours you see. If you listen to rumours, we'd be buying 10 players."

Good Man Gabby. May not be an out and out goalscorer but is adding more strings to his bow and offers so much to the team whilst scoring his share. Player of the season so far IMHO....

Young/ Milner/ Barry had the chance to become Villa Legends, but ohwel! Gabby to me for work effort if one of the best all round players in the league. Power Speed, defence/attack and a good winger. He just needs to sort out 1on1z. Gabbys Villa for life... Just like me and Vital Villa.

It certainly appears to be rare these days for a man to show loyalty to the club he loves rather than going where the money is best. There are a lot who could learn from this example (Stewart Downing, Carlos Tossbag etc). Nice to see some footballers remain down to earth and honest. When I met him out and about, he actually spoke to me first (Villa shirt helped I think) and had a little chat which he didn't have to do. RESPECT

From standing on the holte end to playing on the pitch, never seen the lad lack for effort no matter which muppet is his manager or where they choose to play him.

he just gets better and better. For someone who gets stick for not being overly bright he always manages to say the right things, wish we had ten more like him.
