'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McAndrew Calls For 'No Fear' Against Marseille

A bit harsh I thought, but he is the boss and his advice has helped get us to the Quarter Finals so who am I to argue.

Anyway, Tony McAndrew has said that our youngsters have shown no fear all throughout the NextGen series and he expects that to continue tonight and he's called on them to go out onto the Villa Park pitch once again and not only enjoy themselves but show what they are capable of.

Speaking to the Official Site he said.

'It sounds great doesn't it? The Quarter Final of a European Cup competition at Villa Park for the U19s. If that doesn't get these kids excited then I don't know what does. This is as good as it gets.'

McAndrew has prepared his charges well and he knows Marseille are going to be different from what we have faced so far.

'They are a big, powerful side and they will cause us a lot of problems. We will need to be at our very best to get a result. I have been to Marseille and Sean Verity has watched them a couple of times. But we will have a go, the lads have played without any fear at Villa Park. We have played some great stuff, they seem to be relishing this stage.'

Another good, tough test for the lads to overcome and learn from.
