McLeish Relishing NextGen Quarter Final

Alex McLeish will again be in attendance for tonight's quarter final against Marseille after describing the youngsters performances this season as refreshing.

I'm sure that's not a comment on the first team, but I'm taking it as one regardless!

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game, Eck said.

'I love it, it's brilliant. It's like a mini-Champions League for the kids and it's great to see. I think it has been very refreshing. British players sometimes get inferiority complexes when they do play the European teams and games like that can let them see 'wait a minute, we're as good'.'

Marc Albrighton has also been talking about supporting the lads tonight and how strange it will feel for him now he's moved up to the first team.

Should be a good crowd and quite a few familiar faces tonight.

Well, none of our youngsters will be playing against European opposition when they make the first team so they may aswell live it up now....

Can we Villa fans do nothing but make sad jibes? Why can't the success of the kids be celebrated for the achievement they have made. They've done well. End of comment.
