Can Villa Survive Without Heskey & Beye?

I`m not sure this is even news to be honest, surely it is obvious? However, transfer talk is in thin supply so hey, lets go for it!

Shock horror, Emile Heskey is going to be allowed to walk away in the summer on a free.

Well, I`m sure we all feel the same, if he goes, we go... how would we survive?! lol

The Mirror say that 34-year-old Heskey and the Club aren`t talking about new contracts and he`ll leave in July when his contract ends.

Have to be honest, I think he`s one of the worst players who has ever put on a Villa shirt, to think he is reportedly on £62 000 a week! And we got what for that? Ahem, ten goals. Embarrassing.

And the report also says that Carlos Cuellar, Habib Beye and Brad Guzan are also out of contract in the summer, which again, I think we all knew!

Beye and Cuellar will no doubt leave, but Guzan? He is coming on nicely and did well deputising for Shay Given during his injury, in fact you could argue it was very harsh that he lost his place automatically after doing nothing wrong. Maybe that will sway him to look for a Club where he can now get regular first team football?

Be good to get some of those wages off the books though.

How long is it until we can rid ourselves of Hutton and Warnock I wonder?
Winsforvilla
Guzan? Sorry I was not as impressed as you were Mr Fear. Thought he was at fault for both of Swansea's goals and standing behind him at Bolton I was struck by how jittery he seemed. Would he have saved Warnock's header against Everton? Doubt it.

"Can Villa Survive Without Heskey & Beye"? LOL Jon I had to laugh at the title, in answer to the question yes we would be fine, infact we will do much better without the pair. Heskey is past it and was and always has been useless, as for Beye I don't think he is good enough for even Doncaster.
Green Villan
Yeah, but have you lot forgotten what Heskey has done for us? Think where we'd have been without his goals? Probably in the champions league now lol, as we'd have had an extra 30-40 goals from a proper striker... loved MON as manager, but signing Heskers instead of 'anyone else' killed any chance of champs league...
thorpyuk
Heskey might be the worst signing in history. On the verge on breaking into the CL, it was supposed to be cemented by a quality striker. And we got Heskey. MON'esque.

Not sure Heskey was the worst compared to Beye & Baloban he was a bargain, true he couldnt hit a barn door which is not good news for a main striker nice to see your sense of humours intact Mr Fear.one question how long left on Huttons contract ?

Slowly but surely the deadwood is being shipped out, can't believe it's taken so long, especially considering the wage bill mission. Now no more of these overpaid thirty-somethings please, kids all the way!

Heskey won the league cup 4 times and 1 Fa Cup. 62 appearances for England. WTF. I'm one of MON's biggest fans but this was his biggest mistake ever. The reason that Eck plays him 2 years on whenever he can is a complete mystery too. Honestly think that Randy has told him to get the best out of monies spent on wages and Eck takes it literally.

Without Heskey, Beye and Warnock we're doomed ........

irish villa
Well this just proves villa can not hold on to there most prize assets, Heskey then beye wtf?? ;)
clivethevillan
Take away them two players alone who hardly get a game anyway and your looking at being able to afford a world class player if we didnt lower the wage structure more, madness to think.

"Keep Cuellar and Guzan. Shoot the rest" This.
