Rambo Secures Aston Villa Trial
According to the Jamaica Gleaner, 19-year-old Brian "Rambo" Brown Junior will be arriving in England for a trial at Aston Villa.
Rambo follows in the footsteps of fellow "Reggae Boy" Omar Cummings, who had an unsuccessful trial at Bodymoor Heath last season. Brown`s coach at the 'Russea High" team Anthony Williams said:
"He was invited to the national squad, but we had to inform them that he will be leaving the island for a trial in England.'
'Brian will be at Aston Villa where he will remain for about three weeks. They have requested his presence and will be responsible for his airfare, accommodation and everything else."
Well, if they`re going to pay for the Travelodge…you gotta go!
Brown Junior has recently turned down a number of local Premier League options and looked to forge a career overseas, something that has previously been achieved by Dwight Yorke, Ricardo Gardner, Ricardo Fuller, and Chris Birchall (only joking, Birchall was born in Stafford.)
38 goals in last seasons schoolboy football, so not exactly the most promising of January Transfer window news, but who knows, always a chance we`ve discovered a hidden gem!

However, he said the real inspiration behind his search for success was his bid to emulate his father, former Seba United striker Brian 'Rambo' Brown Sr" - What's with all the nicknames? haha - "four goals in his debut season in 2009, 24 last year and 38 in the just-concluded season" - that's quite impressive though, whatever league it's in!
