Robbie's Keane Return To Wolves

Robbie Keane marked his return to the Black Country with a brace that inspired us to all 3 points.

Speaking to Sky Sports following the 3-2 victory our on loan striker was rather refreshingly honest about our performance.

'I think the first 15 minutes we played very well and kept the ball on the ground. They couldn't cope with us, but then after that when we got the goal, we seemed to drop off and certainly Wolves were the better team in the first half.'

Keane adds that there was a 'chat' at half time, and the team came out determined to replicate the first 5 minutes for the whole of the second half.

'We had a chat at half time and we went out and did the same as we did in the first 15 by keeping the ball on the ground and make them work for it, which they did. I think that's what got the result in the end.'

Keane obviously enjoyed his return to the Molineux and was delighted with his goals, but said he had fond memories of his time at the club.

'I had wonderful times at Wolves. They looked after me as a kid and I'll never forget that, but at the end of the day you have to be professional and do your job for the team you're with and that's Aston Villa.'

Cant begrudge Keano scoring, though he certainly found the wrong time to find such scintillating form for us Wolfies... Honestly, after the break neither Villa or Wolves were that good (aprt from Keane), but whatever was said at half time reversed fortunes and if ever Ive left a game with a lump in my throat it was this one. Enjoy the 3 points, I can only hope this pushes muppet mccarthy closer to the door.
AdMant
AdMant, you seem a good sport and gracious in defeat fair play, on the radio i listened to the match and they said Frimpong for you was the best player on the pitch so him getting injured may have helped our course, but Keano has proved a lot of us villans wrong and showed he has still got it, that 3 points today should see us safe, but wolves seem in big trouble with qpr spending a fortune blackburn starting to pick points up.
clivethevillan
admant why are you a low life piece of scum, why not join these low life dirty vile scum, when frimpong was getting treatment the vile fans were cheering, it was serious for the guy, but all these low life gutter dwellers could do was cheer, albrighton had better watch his back because one day somebody will give the dirty b£$%^&d a good kicking, kean is a mercenry and is taking the vile for every penny he can get but you are too thick and dim to see it, I just hope your lot got a good kicking after the match, you are low life, sperm gutter dwellers, no low life is not low enough for you lot, you are repugnant, detestable abaddon.
johnwolf
thats why you crippled frimpong and got Henry sent off you cheating low life scum- admant is a low life excuse of a fan, not a Wolves fan, he ridicules the club, manager and players at every opportunity - bit like low life vile fans.
johnwolf
Occasionally on forums you may find people have a different opinion to you. It is advisable in that instance to give an eloquent and reasoned argument against it. If you can not do this then a simple..”SorryI am 12 years old and I disagree” will suffice. johnwolf this is the approach you should have taken.
Dead Souls
Hahahaha. johnwolf has just made my day even better. Good to see he's not bitter.
onlyteaminthemids
How do you really feel John?
soccer15
go sort your orrible yammy accent out you ugly inbred wolves **** !!!! forever in baggies shadows
marshyboy87
Haha keane is taking us for every penny? I think you will find he is just doing what we are paying him to do. As for albrighton getting a good kicking, didn't you notice that's exactly what he got from Henry? Nothing like dignity in defeat is there :) all the best in the championship
Lion Heart
Haha johnswolf what a way to make the win even sweeter, I can see your the type of person who has no problem kicking a kid on the ground in the ribs you big scary wolf you...
KerryVillian
Suck it in johnswolf, your team **LOST** to the mighty Villa, and best of all it was Keano who did it. Any other Wolves fans on here, my apologies for that comment, and unlucky for losing what was a half-decent entertaining match.
ExpatVillaShirt
I worked in Wolverhampton for 23 years and suffered idiots like 'johnwolf' all through that time...take it from me..Wolves fans are the worst, and I mean the worst losers around....even when they lose 5-0 it was the 'refs fault' 'we outplayed you but we just couldn't get the ball in the bet'...blah blah blah..johnwolf, the league does not lie...you are near the bottom because you are a pile of s*** ! End of !

How funny is Johnwolf!? Hilarious. He probably thought he would rile up he "vile" but all he has done is amuse us, much like we are amused by monkeys and other dumb animals. Lol
Adam Deuce
Jingle all the way, the villa won away, johnwolfs a sad dingle is the new jingle hip hip hip hooray. Trot on you sad dingles the championship is calling. We will always be the pride of the midlands even with this sad muppet McClown in charge. Good to see GG start and hope it continues. Who'd have thought Warnock would have changed the game for us. Keane took his goals well and showed his class but as its loan it will only be a stop gap. No pace i agree but exchanged passes and held up the ball very well. UTV.
holte ender 1969
Got Henry sent off? As long as you are gracious in defeat eh Wolf?
juddy
johnwolf ahaa, typical wolves fan eyy? The villa fans clapped Frimpong of the pitch, meanwhile the 'wolves' fans booed albrighton calling him a cheat for...wait for it....getting kicked in the chest by a thug? Oh yep, that makes albrighton the cheat doesn't it mate? Seriously i have never met a more stupid wolves fan in all my life and there have been some bad ones. The most deluded fickle bunch in the country...FACT! At least when the villa fans 'dislike' Mcleish the majority stick by it! Mccarthy loses 1 match and he has to go! He wins the week after and it's all hail Mccarthy haha!
P.Avfc
you hope we got a good kicking after the game? Lovely. I actually had a cowardly skin head scum bag come up and threaten me. The ONE person in the group who had a walking stick. LOL what a coward (notice I say coward and not what cowards? That is because I've the sense to know that not all can be tarred with the same brush)
The Fear
Sorry to hear you were threatened Mr Fear. All wolves fans or any club can't be tarred with the same brush. Several ggod mates are wolves fans and only most of them are quite barking mad. None are violent or as rabid as johnwolf. Appreciate the sensible post AdMant. I am still not a fan of Keane's loan, but he's just got us 3 points so will shut up about it. And it looks like we're stuck with McLeish now and I'm definitely not happy about that either. This looks like our pattern for the rest of the season when we finish low/mid-table, just avoiding the drop and playing second or third rate football. Well done Norwich and Swansea for giving their fans a good time.
144wittonlane
Got to agree 144wittonlane I also number a few Wolves fans among my friends we give each other appropriate stick before and after a match then have a pint and talk sensibly about the game. Dont know what game you were at johnwolf but the villa fans around me all clapped Frimpong off we appreciate a decent player, and dont like to see any player injured.
