Grayson Is Interested In Delph

Simon Grayson has admitted Fabian Delph would be an asset but he refused to be drawn on whether the club have expressed a direct interest.

Speaking to Leeds' official site, he said.

'Fabian Delph is a good player who knows about Leeds. His name is being bandied around as if he is available for loan. You're not going to draw me on whether we will do it or not, but he's a player that would fit the bill.'

I can't find any quotes but it's being suggested in the media that Grayson is lining up a double loan move for Delph and Eric Lichaj - both players would certainly benefit from some regular action again.

I tell you what, how about we loan leeds Mcleish and they can loan us grayson? we can throw delph in as a sweetner, just wondered ;)

Can we loan out Hutton and Warnock and play Lihaj and Delph instead?
Winsforvilla
if villa ever sold Delph i would give up on us... He is a player for the future and yes he should go out on loan, but if its anything more then a loan that would just be enough for me to stop careing!

HA well said Clive!! :) Does Grayson now how to play 4-4-2 at home? If so we will take him. 4-5-1 McLeish is still scratching his head why we havent won at home in 5 games!

Licaj never put a foot wrong for me, great prospect.

Good move for everyone involved. Delph needs his confidence and sharpness back. He's well down the pecking order at the moment so it makes sense (as long as we have a recall option).
son_of_cher
Delph should be loaned in fact all our young players should be loaned as playing for McIdiot only gets them into bad habbits, Delph is a proper footballer thats why he looks average this year because McIdiot doesn't know how to play football!

He needs his sharpness 'back'? When did he have that, did I blink?
juddy
Agree with juddy, I've never seen it. Delph has been a big disappointment considering the money we paid. He never seems to learn, his positional sense is terrible. He's 22 now, if he was the player we all thought he was going to be we would have seen it by now and he would at least be pushing for a start! Maybe he will be a late bloomer but I just can't see it, another MON flop in my book.
Lion Heart
Sadly it seems Delph is a player that will never be the same after his injury.

Football League Awards 2009: Football League Young Player of the Year. Yeah, it was all MON's fault Lion Heart. Thank McGrath that we've now got Randy overseeing all the transfers and it's great that he wrestled control from MON. Where would we be without Jenas, Hutton and Makoun?? Probably relegated as they're so integral to our tactical passing game and are the spine of our team.
Villan444
Im not particularly blaming MON, he took a gamble and it hasnt paid off. Coming to the Prem was a big step up and he just hasnt cut it.
Lion Heart
None of our youngsters have really cut it for a long time now. With exception of Barry and obviously Milner and Young who just passed through in recent times. They seem to get into the first team or on the fringes and then never progress. Gary Cahill may be one that has had to move on to get the bit extra. Seeing that we have Bodymoor Heath which was as good as anywhere else a year or two ago, it's very disappointing. There's loads of half decent youngsters but they never seem to make it. Does the coaching side of things need a revamp from top to bottom?????
