Bannan On Wasted Afternoon Yesterday!

Bannan On Wasted Afternoon Yesterday!

Prep, our man on twitter, saw two different players tweets after the 'football' match yesterday v Everton.

One, Barry Bannan, the man the club stuck by recently despite being a major numptie!

He said on twitter:

'Chilling at home ... Wat a cold boring day that was !!!'

Marc Albrighton, the man McLeish blamed for his mismanagement apologised for the performance and said we will bounce back.

as prep said:

The attitude difference between the pair of them is shocking.

He took a lot of abuse for that tweet, everyone telling him we pay to watch that rubbish..

Wish players would stay off twitter in some ways but Bannan needs to remember he isn't a star, he hasn't made it yet, the club stuck by him, he could show a bit of dignity for the job he is being paid (and paid well) to do surely?

He's not getting a great reputation at the moment, maybe he needs a bit of a re-think and THEN maybe he will be able to push onwards in his career.

Interesting to see Bannan's comment. I wondered yesterday whether anyone could play Ireland and Bannan in the same team, given their lack of statue and 'bite'. I used to have high hopes for Bannan but he seems to believe his own hype now.

On a serious note, dont feel him making comments on twitter are gonna help his cause in getting pitch time, maybe he should of gone to prison or been sacked and then he could of been doing something more exciting on a saturday afternoon...Take a leaf out of Clark & Albrightons book, screw the nut & realise what a fantastic life you actually lead especially as were helping pay for it...!

I cannot see any attractions of twittering but each to their own. His comment, however, seems totally harmless. If he was being honest, like most players on the bench feel, he could have said he was totally frustrated and felt he could do better than what he had to sit and watch. But what he said was restrained and does not seem to be worthy of criticism via having a thread on this site. Unnecessary.

sums him up perfectly. Mediocre talent and an ego twice the size of his diminutive size. Utter to**er.
