Villa Swap Shop Tosh - AVFC Transfer Talk

Villa Swap Shop Tosh - AVFC Transfer Talk

The Express have an interesting one today! I don`t quite believe it to be honest, however they reckon we tried to swap Darren Bent for Andy Carroll. Kenny 'racists will never walk alone` Dalglish 'quickly rejected` the approach.

Thing is, the report says that indications out of Anfield was that they wanted Bent but that isn`t true. McLeish has already been quoted saying Kenny had no interest in Bent.

The report says Villa are 'likely` to return in the summer.

The Mirror say that QPR`s new boss Mark Hughes (why on earth didn`t we get him?!) is interested in Stephen Ireland after missing out on Spurs midfielder Steven Pienaar. That would be typical. Just as he starts to look the part he gets unsettled by transfer talk, wants to re-acquaint himself with his former Man City boss and looks to leave!

The Mirror also have a report quoting LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane saying he isn`t looking for a permanent move back to the Premiership"

'Come back permanently? No. I am quite happy in the MLS. I have really enjoyed the three months I have had there so far. It is a great lifestyle out there for the family. It`s nice to have the opportunity to come back for a couple of months, but when that ends I am looking forward to getting back with the Galaxy. I was having the time off that I wanted, but then I got some phone calls and when one of them was from Villa it was a club I felt immediately I would be comfortable with, because of the people I already know there."
