Given Delighted To Be Back

Shay Given has said he was delighted to be back on the pitch today, but he thought we deserved all 3 points.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the boredraw against Everton, the 35 year old keeper said.

'It's been a long, long six weeks but I'm delighted to be playing again. I would like to thank the medical team for getting me back fit, I'm not a good patient so I'm delighted to get back. I felt we deserved to win the game but we switched off.'

he make really good saves during the match. the one being the unexpected header by warnock.most keepers would have just stood and watch the ball go in

He must wake up every morning and think "what have I done to deserve this?". I know he played behind some bad defences at Toon and the RoI, but nothing to rival our flying circus. See that Hutton and Warnock each have a 1% vote in MoTM. Good to see that they both find the time to get on Vital Villa to vote.
