AVFC TRANSFER Talk - Collins Out? Dann In?

AVFC TRANSFER Talk - Collins Out? Dann In?

Not much transfer talk about. In fact, not many transfers about! Is this going to be the quietest January transfer window ever? Maybe the new fair play rules are going to kick in after-all ?!

Transfers so far: BBC Sport

Anyway, we`ve had the 'lift` of the Robbie Keane signing... apparently it gives us a lift anyway?!

Only thing I can find at the moment is a link on Sky Sports to Blackburn Rovers defender Scott Dann who is also being considered by Arsenal according to this report.

Interestingly they claim that McLeish would offer cash plus Collins to get Dann.

Talking about Collins:

James Nursey @JamesNursey #THFC #Spurs interested in #AVFC James Collins. Truth in that rumour (James Nursey is a Mirror reporter who covers Villa extensively)

It's a shame because with the correct guidance Collins can be very good, which I believe will be proved if and when he goes to a better managed side. But the way he's played for us this season has been woful and if I see another pointless long ball straight to the other team I think I'll explode. Against Rovers I thought great, off the kick off get the ball down, knock it around and control the game. It goes back to Collins and thump!! Wasteful rubbish horrible to watch long ball. Why can't the centre backs just play square balls to the full backs or drop it on the DM's foot and we build from there??

Dann for Collins would be like trading in a clapped out 4x4 nissan for a new model range rover ;)

i'd be very happy if we signed Scott Dann

I thought dann moved to Blackburn this season, so would I be right in saying he can't move to another prem club in the same season?
