Keane Is Razor Sharp - Bent

Keane Is Razor Sharp - Bent

Darren Bent says his ex Spurs team mate is a top and clever signing from Villa, and he's looked razor sharp in training.

Speaking to the Herald our record signing said of Robbie Keane.

'My old team mate from Spurs has been training with us, I just think it's a clever move for Villa. It's a top signing and he looks razor sharp. He looks fit and really up for the challenge. He is as bright as a button.'

Well all the noises from Bodymoor Heath sound encouraging, so I suppose we'll see this weekend which Robbie Keane has joined us.

These still aren't the types of signings we should be making though, even if it works out perfectly and he's a star for 2 months, we're no better for it when he leaves again.

It fills a gap until the summer when we can offload half the overpaid *****e in our squad. If we can secure a good position it'll be well worth £500k .......

I know and understand the negative feeling towards loan deals of this ilk but I'm of the mindset to take the positives from the situation. If he plays and helps us get points on the board then great. It may leave us all with a feeling of what might have been had we signed him all those years ago but I think as Villa supporters we are all used to that feeling!!!! ;) UTV!!

I can't say I as overjoyed about the rumours of him coming beforehand, just because I didn't feel we needed another striker when Gabby barely even gets a chance to play there as we're playing with just Bent. But he's here so i'll support him and hope he does well, it'll only benefit us if he does

When are the gay jokes going to start then, now that our strikeforce is officially Bent and Keane. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I think he's a solid signing for a couple of months, but it won't make a difference unfortunately because we all know the real problem at our club at the minute

Well put Adzvilla11. The Keane signing isn't a terrible deal... But knowing our board this will be the only signing of Jan for us. Well guess the good news is that we haven't sold anyone so far! :P

That's good news Astriel ?! I'd love to see a few deadbeats *cough cough* Heskey and Hutton depart, for good. As for replacements though, who knows..
