Shay To Be Given Guzan's Spot?

Shay To Be Given Guzan's Spot?

Our latest poll asks a simple question... we are, afterall, simple folk!

Following the news that Shay Given is nearly fit again, what would you do?

Brad Guzan has played very well, he`s not let us down at all, but obviously Shay is the number one.

Do you keep with the inform player or remove him straight away and put Shay back in goal?

If you do the latter, does that not stop any thoughts of competition for places amongst the younger players?

Opinions please and vote in our poll.

Did he not let us down for the second goal against Swansea? He didnt have a clue what to do with a ball, he back tracked and then evenchually gave it away to an X-Villa player who scored to put the nail in the coffin. Great shot stopper but Shay Given is our number one and Guzan is our number 2!!

The kids have to force their way in not be 'given' the opportunity until proven. Whilst Brad may be a decent shot stopper his kicking is a weakness, always requiring two touches. If he's fit, its Given for me.

I'd put Given in the top 10 keepers in Europe so straight back I'd say.

Yeah Given for me too. Brad has done well though, yes he made a few mistakes but his confidence has improved since last year. Its comforting to know we have a decent keeper waiting in the wings. We should just save Brad for penalty shoot outs as his save ratio is very impressive.

Brad did do well but never really looks confident, when Given is in goal he looks confident assured and is always telling the defenders where they should be, Guzan is still young for a keeper and still has a lot to learn but is very good back up so I hope he stays with us and waits for his chance.

Always more nervous when Brad is in goal, but he has done quite well, making a couple of mistakes leading to a goal (Swansea, Arsenal). He's still developing as a keeper so maybe give him the Toffee's and Given Arsenal FA cup. Think he deserves a chance.
