Albrighton Wants Benty Stay

Albrighton Wants Benty Stay

Ahhh you've got to love January. Rumours, speculation, nonsense, am I the only one who finds it a bit boring?

Speaking of boring, it's the inevitable Darren Bent saga that takes up most column inches today again - or should that be bandwidth bits? I confuse myself.

The Daily Mirror have some quotes from Marc Albrighton who says of Darren.

'You don't want to see your best players leave. Darren is one of our best players, it would be sad if he left.'

Albrighton however though adds.

'We have got the players that can fill his boots if he did. Hopefully the gaffer will bring some players in but all of us want Darren to stay - 100%.'

Even Alex McLeish has piped up and said he's spoken to Kenny Dalglish and he confirmed Liverpool aren't interested in the player...but this one is going to run and run.

Also, Alex McLeish has confirmed that Robbie Keane is not a replacement for Darren either. Be a bit stupid if he was given he's on loan for 2 months only.

Not only that but it unsettles he player. He might actually start wondering what he is doing here. And then he will go :(
