There Is NO MYSTERY DEAL TO BUY VILLA

Another report today 'backing up' this secret deal and the sale of Aston Villa.

From the horses mouth... THIS IS NOT TRUE.

There are no offers on the table, there have been no approaches. Villa is not about to be sold. Villa is not currently for sale.

It isn't that hard to grasp this is it?

How fortunate we are to have so many ITKs. However, they all seem to have conflicting information!

I read the story and even though I knew it wasn't true, it at least gave me some hope in a currently very dull AVFC world. Ah well :-)

Here I was thinking you guys were about to buy David Villa, it would fit. Villa in Villa; though his injury means you might want to pass on it.

That is my reading of the situation Steff! LOL

No idea who the horse is or who is being self important craigy. The word you want is you not u, we don't have text talk here! If you mean me being self important, fine, I have no problem with that, I like to communicate the facts to users and these are the facts and yes, I would know if something was afoot, if that makes me self important then coolio, name calling is so great, well done on that!

Too right Reza, not saying bids won't come in, strange thing but the work they have put to the infrastructure at Villa makes us prime for bids (whether good or bad) just that, as you know also mate, this rumour that seems to be getting fans excited is pie in the sky, totally not true. If anyone with money was about Villa is one of the prime targets, as I've said before. Spurs need a new ground, Everton need a new ground and training facilities. We have it all.

If say an Arab billionaire did buy us, we would never play CL football because under the new FFP rules clubs competing in Europe have to break even over three years rolling. With our revenue income this would mean they couldn't spend big anyway, if they did we wouldn't be allowed to compete. All some pipe dream off Aston Villa Bull***** and Views ..... I mean News and Views. If they spent half as much time SUPPORTING than they did making up ***** then VP would be a better place. UTV

yes Jon.H but we call it Redditch around here! LOL

I think the news and views site did on the original try to make it clear he wasn't claiming it, it was from a forum post astonmilan, the trouble is it gets fans excited for no good reason. Even some media are ringing askign about it, once they get the steer they also see it isn't true.
NOt saying there will never be approaches and not commentating on whether there should be or not. Just this one is just not true!

Anyone who get excited by this is not a true fan. We all know the hallmark of all us Villa fans is eternal pessimism. Us being bought by a group of Oil rich money men? Never! Optimism/delusion on that scale is more of Spuds type thing.

LOL Tallaght. Very true. No-one anywhere is as self deprecating as Brummies. Eternal pessimism it is. This sort of story is good to be circulated though. It's good that some oil rich sheiks who have never left their palace in the desert may hear that we are potentially for sale and a more attractive option than many others too. Roll on the rumours...

It does strike me as a Matrix type decision facing all us fans on whether to believe this rumour or not. We have the red pill (our current position with Alex in charge, rubbish football to watch and a very possible relegation) or the blue pill (us being bought by someone who makes city look like Derby, the money to buy anyone, a major manager like Jose in charge and Champions League football). I know which most of us would take in a dream world. Let those who want it dream a little. They will soon come back after we lose to Everton after 90 mins of working hard to win the ball back, launching it up the field back to them, Hutton getting sent off and Warnock giving away another cheap goal. A little short haze of joy would harm no one. UTV!!

oh some at Bodymoor and even some players are talking about it and think it is true. Funny thing is, it just isn't. It has caught on like wildfire because of the internet and social media. Either that or Randy and Paul F are great actors or bare faced liars. Neither of those things are true. As said, not saying we won't get bids some day, but there is not a deal being done at the moment.
