Jackett Wants Lowry On Permanent Deal

Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has confirmed that the club have made an offer to Villa for on loan Shane Lowry.

Lowry has just extended his loan deal until February with the London club, but speaking to Newsshopper Jackett said.

'He's someone that we've been looking to try and take permanently. We have made both him and Aston Villa an offer and we will try to make that one a permanent transfer.'

Lowry is out of contract in the summer, and he doesn't seem to figure in McLeish's plans so rather than let the loan expire and have him kicking his heels until the summer I'd expect a deal to be struck shortly.
