Ok, well.... here goes for more transfer talk.
I have it from within the club that Darren Bent is 100% not for sale, not going anywhere, offers will not be listened to... I`ll take that to the bank, I hope it doesn`t bounce!
A few reports today seem to agree that Villa will block any approach.
Good.
The Mirror say that QPR have bid £3million for James Collins. Other talk, or should I say whispers, indicate he may well be on his way to Sunderland.
I have to be honest, when he first came I had never heard of him but he quickly became one of my favourite players for what I thought was a great work ethic and attitude. After last season put simply I`d have been happy to drive Collins and Dunne anywhere they wanted AWAY from Villa and my position on that has not changed. I thought their conduct was a disgrace. I don`t like that in a Villa shirt. End of! Ooooh, look at him being all angry! I`d also ship out Stephen Warnock. Bring in a new defense, be shot of what I think are bad apples and maybe McLeish will get an organised defense.
Bolton are also said to be interested. Cool, we`ll swap for Gary Cahill then! We can do a buy one (Collins) get one free (Dunne) ?
Goal.com reckon Villa will bid for Didier Drogba as we look to entertain bids for Darren Bent. Nope, don`t buy that at all. No meat on the bone for that story so no link to them! We can all make fancy headlines to chase hits! Look, Messi In Shock Move To Villa. Easy!
Mat Kendrick at www.birminghammail.net says a move for Robbie Keane is in the balance as Villa weigh up if the £250k cost is worth it for two months. Villa... it isn`t. We are Aston Villa, we should not be loaning players!
Interestingly Mat also dismisses a link I heard in confidence on the QT that we were after Tottenham`s Croatian midfielder Niko Kranjcar. Shame, that was a whisper that I quite liked!
Chelsea, Aston Villa and Malaga are watching Borussia Dortmund striker Lucas Barrios. If you speak German: www.bild.de/sport
The Daily Record have us linked to Ki-Sung Yueng from Celtic for £6m. Would be great for marketing.
Reports from Germany claim that Aston Villa are ready to rival Real Betis' interest in Fortuna Dusseldorf centre-back and DR Congo international Assani Lukimya-Mulongoti

I know what you are saying villan444, for me they were an effing disgrace last season and were allowed to do whatever they wanted, not good enough for anyone in claret and blue and for that reason, will be glad when they are gone. We have a few players who I don't think give a damn and show it regularly, bad apples, clear them out, start again. They seem a common denominator no matter who is managing (ie some under MON then GH and now that new one we have, what's his face?!)
I get what you are saying re: falling out with GH BUT they are bloody well paid and should do what the manager tells them, if they don't like it, put in a transfer request. What they were doing ... or NOT doing (on the pitch) was just a joke. And the Man City fans said we'd get that from Dunne, a good season then mediocrity.
