McLeish Backs Warnock To Bounce Back

McLeish Backs Warnock To Bounce Back

Which is nice I suppose.

Speaking to the Official Site after the farce we call the home match against Swansea, the ByEck said of our left back.

'Stevie has had a good season.'

That was pretty much the point in the article I quickly gave up the will to read the rest.

A 'good' season? Compared to when, last year - which isn't really that difficult.

We can all make many, many, many comments about our defence that would be colourful, accurate, and would also show the great ability of the English language to describe in vivid details any event we choose - yet I can't think of many people who would include the word 'good' in any of those attempts at prose.

But I shall persevere, simply so nobody else has to read it all.

'I have told them they have to put 10-15 games together without any silly errors. Stevie is strong enough to bounce back.'

10-15 games to get their basic job right? Have you noticed Alex that we can't string two halves together, let alone 10-15 games.

So all that BS about picking the team on merit, dropping under-performing players, punishing players for not living up to the standards we deserve, can be filed in the 'I won't play Gabby on the wing' cupboard.

In other words, bullsh....

Man up or Eck off.

You remember how to use email right?

Thank all that is shiny that some of us had the sense to enjoy the last few games for what they were. They are looking quickly like the only bleeding highlight of the season.

he talks about errors from defenders, midfielders, strikers. He doesn't talk about his errors does he? Humble guy.

It's called passing the buck JF. Actually, all we all want is for him to buck off!

New boy Stevens any good? Saw him against Spurs didnt look great, but not many left backs do against that mob.

without defending him at all (cos I think he's a muppet) if he could take the decision to stick with Ireland and Cuellar = picking on merit why the hell can't he bring himself to drop Collins. Until now he's had no choice at left back and in fairness to the player I do think Warnock has played reasonably well in recent games even allowing for the mistake yesterday he kept trying to make up for it. Unfortunately for Warnock I think too many poor performances last year and earlier in the season mean that there's no way back for him with most fans so he's on a hiding to nothing. The main thing is even if Warnock bounces back to be the player he was when the red scouse first signed him, the team is so disfunctional and the lack of tactics and movement are so painful that it won't make any difference. Swansea are one of the smallest teams in the prem and we still didn't look like we could even threaten from corners and set pieces never mind open play.....
