What? AGAIN? The Annual Transfer Link Returns!!!

What? AGAIN? The Annual Transfer Link Returns!!!

LOL... when he went to America I thought at least we won`t be linked with this player anymore.

Yup, it is the annual Robbie Keane to Villa report!

The Mirror say that we are after the former Liverpool and Spurs striker on loan from MLS team Los Angeles Galaxy.

This would be a two month deal.

Hogwash you say? Usually I`d say hogwash with you (who does actually say hogwash apart from me by the way? Oh, just me then!) BUT I`m told this one is very likely.

Decent idea or a bit late? The Spurs fans were saying that although many loved him, his legs had 'gone`... however, as cover or... Oooooh I don`t know! lol I`d have loved him years back, now I`m not so yipppeeee more 'meh` about it. But still might be interesting, always good to keep an open mind!

And that is that. If another rumour comes true, a transfer inward which is hopefully being done in the qt, then I think we`ll be seeing a nice enough January transfer window. Ooooh, what a tease! lol

The Mirror say that Villa have quoted between £6-8million to Sunderland for James Collins. Ha, nice doing business with MON then!?!??!

And that, at the moment, appears to be that.

So far we have:

Think the Collins to Sunderland deal has some substance. Would be happy for him to go and It would mean Eck could bring in one of his own centre backs. Anyone else hear Hartson on MOTD last night? He was basically asked what transfer rumours he has and said "Bent would be a great signing for any top 4 club"....Straight swap for Sturridge?? Yes Please!

Ha, the annual Keane to Villa link...Can see this happening, as like Henry to Le Arse & Donovan when he went to Everton...Not what we want to push on, but with no funds & wanting to see the season through before we realistically sort out inward & outward transfer activity, could be useful to fill a stop gap...Be a cheap(I assume)viable bench warmer with good experience, would not say much for fonz & the wee man though...Better than Heskey coming off the bench, surely...?!
02/01/2012 11:32:00
Would rather we went for JPA on loan instead of Keane. Would perk the fans up a little at least!
02/01/2012 11:35:00
Keane to Villa would be another nail in Mc*****wit's coffin as far as I'm concerned.
02/01/2012 12:37:00
Not a lot to lose on a 2 month loan deal... Same as Pires or better?
02/01/2012 12:41:00
Yeah, while we are at it we might aswell look to bring Savo back on loan? MoN i will personally drive Collins upto that gloomey plaice you now manager at just say when he will be there 2 days early!
02/01/2012 13:06:00
NOOO. Man I hate seeing this link every year! Collins for 6-8 million on the other hand? Seems to good to refuse! Get Cuellar or Clark playing in the centre instead, and maybe use all the money we get from Collins to make a bid for somebody like Samba. I wouldn't get rid of Bent for anything though, not even 20million+, there's nobody we could replace him with and it'd really be the final straw getting rid of one of our best players for the 4th time in a few years.
02/01/2012 13:13:00
The quoted price for Collins would be nice if it is re-invested. Probably go into Lerners' pocket though...... Keane, waste of money!
