Capello Praises Improved Darren Bent

Fabio Capello has praised Darren Bent's overall improvement in playing style since joining the Villa.

The England manager has selected Darren, along with four of his claret and blue colleagues, for the upcoming friendly against Denmark and he believes he is already a different and better player since joining us a few short weeks ago.

Quoted on the Official Site Capello said:

'Bent was not as good before the World Cup as he is at this moment, he was not the same player. I went to see Aston Villa twice, before he was only playing for the box, now, he is a player who can play for the team.'

Fabio continues to explain that he's hoping Bent can form a good partnership with Wayne Rooney as he believes both of them can terrorise defences and change England's fortunes for the better.

Good luck Darren, just don't get injured!

Do we really want him to strike up a successful partnership with Rooney. We don't want Utd to come knocking.

I think that's a sad aspect of being a Villa fan...he's been at the club only a matter of weeks and we're already worried about him being taken by a bigger club. Not a criticism Adam by any means, but it's just a sad fact that we expect anyone who excels at the club, or a big name to move on after a while.
