1500 Tickets For Blues

1500 Tickets For Blues

Villa have been given a 1500 ticket allocation for the upcoming league fixture against Blues.

Birmingham City Council's Safety Advisory Group had one of their quango moments and in an effort to probably save themselves from the cuts the Government are inflicting across the country have attempted to justify their existence by swinging into action following the disgusting scenes we saw in the recent Cup encounter.

However while their hearts might be in the right place and they genuinely do wish to limit the risk of any additional trouble I frankly fail to see how cutting our allocation can be considered a fair or even useful response.

There are far, far better ways to react than simply reducing the away allocation, and simpler responses would probably be even more successful but it is sadly the standard response and even sensible Blues fans will suffer the same again next time we meet at B6.

The club themselves do not agree with the decision, and rightly are 'petitioning' or appealing what I can only call a knee jerk response by the Council in an effort to secure an allocation that is far fairer on the fans and acknowledges the usual good behaviour of our away crew.

In the meantime, the 1500 tickets go on sale on a priority ticket basis - Click Here for details - and are priced as follows:

£34 - adults

17 - Students (18-22 with NUS) and over 60's

15 - under 18s

13 - under 12s

11-20 for disabled, assistants FREE - 10 spaces

Click Here for full details and to confirm eligibility.

If the club are successful in gaining additional tickets, they will update on the Official Site.

1500 won't turn up to watch us lose again. Beyond a joke at Villa now, if it's true the people we are 'linked' to are our actual targets then Houllier needs to be stopped and fast before he wastes our money and takes us down!

Have a fondness for Villa going back to the late 70's but I am a little worried right now for you guys. Houllier certainly surprised me when he was apppointed - I know there wasn't much about after O'Neill ran away but Houllier to me is yesterdays man and an old one at that. I hope he hasn't got a juicy contract can be shipped out at the end of the year. I would like to think the Villa director of football (if there is one) is already commencing the tapping up of a good coach (probably European) as I really cannot see much coming out of Houlliers time at your club. Still despite all this Villa will stay up I predict and finish about 15th to 19th. There's always the FA Cup....

er Tommy I think you're a bit behind the times. The Premiership changed from 22 teams to 20 back in 1995....how can you predict that Villa will stay up if they finish 18th or 19th exactly????

Couple of comments on here that are a worry. astvil123 typifies the weak fans by saying that 1500 will not turn up to a local derby because we are a joke. Please astvil123 take your support elsewhere. Supporters actually support when things are not going so well, not turn their back on the club. And 1500 tickets. So as I understand it, the B-lose fans invade the pitch come dowwn to the Villa end to taunt the Villa fans and we get a reduction in tickets??? What punishment are the B-lose facing for the behaviour of their fans?? That said the behaviour of a few kids in the Villa End was shameful, with some ripping out seats and damaging the toilets before the end of the game.

not as bad an allocation as some feared on way up to Manchester yesterday, rumour going around at that time was just 800!

That wasn't the allocation Fear. We could have had 3000 but couldn't sell them. A lot of people haven't got the dough. Look at Spuds, I think that was the first time I can remember that they didn't sell out their allocation at the Villa. And if the four by twos are struggling for cash then what chance the rest??

it was the allocation mate, had the details sent from the club and I quote: Birmingham City Council’s Safety Advisory Group has set our ticket allocation at 1,500 for the upcoming Premier League fixture against Birmingham City at St Andrews
