Albrighton Disappointed By Spurs Showing

Marc Albrighton has revealed that he is desperately disappointed that we couldn't secure even a point against Spurs given the chances we created.

Speaking to the Official Site after yesterday's rather annoying 2-1 loss Albrighton said that he thinks we created more than enough chances during the match to secure a point, if not all 3.

'It is nice to score but the result has taken the gloss off again. We stepped it up in the second half but it still wasn't good enough. We know that as players and the fans knew that.'

Commenting on the chances we created during the match, he added:

'In the second half we bossed it, I think we could have had five or six goals if it went for us but it wasn't to be. We will keep working and keep grafting.'

In additional post match interviews, Albrighton was equally as honest. The Daily Mail quotes him when answering the pointed question of, are we in a relegation battle.

'We have to look at it and think 'yeah, it is'. The table doesn't lie. Against a lot of teams we've played well and created chances, but we've not tucked them away, and we've leaked goals at the back we probably shouldn't have.'

He is however perfectly right when saying that the players have to shoulder the blame, and it's the players that have to get us out of the mess they got us into.

'It's going to be tough to get out of it, but there's nobody who can put that right other than the players. We just have to stick together as a group and hopefully we'll pull something out of the bag. We've got ourselves in a bit of a mess, and we need to get ourselves out of it.'

I find myself agreeing with Albie, I have very little add which makes a change for me!

Bossed it? Wouldn't go that far, however if that makes you feel better that you bossed a game at home against 10 men then you can have it!
