Villa Spurs Swap Shop Again - TRANSFER Links

Villa Spurs Swap Shop Again - TRANSFER Links

I have a real grumpy head on me for the transfer gossip after last night but hey, lets see what the press are saying...

Rob Beasley of The Sun says that Spurs will test Villa with a bid for Ashley Young. Wouldn`t surprise me to be honest and the fact he has already moved further south to Herts.... ?

The report says there will be a £15million bid. This despite Harry Redknapp a good few weeks back saying there was nothing in the link and pointing out that he`d have nowhere to play him?

Appy Arry will apparently offer some cash and then any of the following players.... Robbie Keane, David Bentley, Nico Kranjcar and Jamie O'Hara. Good grief, Villa in a NOT being linked to Jermaine Jenas shocker!

The report quotes a source saying Harry is a fan of Young and would like to have him at White Hart Lane. 'So he's hoping the likes of Keane and Bentley could tempt Villa into doing business."

Ok, so maybe all those players + £7million ? See, I can make these things up as well!

IF Young won`t commit to Villa though, I would get rid of him for as much as we can get.

Next up, this time in The Daily Mail has John Carew linked to West Bromwich Albion for around £1million. With the fall out between player and manager and (unless he was injured again?) him not being on the bench last night, it does look like the sometimes strikers time is up at Villa.

This report also links us with striker Pablo Osvaldo of Espanyol.

The Daily Mail also say that Leicester City want Emile Heskey on loan but Villa will only let him go if it is a permanent deal.

Yesterday the same paper, The Daily Mail, said Fulham were after John Carew and had a price tag of £3million?!

The Mirror say that Wolves will compete with Villa for the signature of 23-year-old Boro defender David Wheater.

spu4life. Ash was injured. He got kicked to **** against the Albion. Not sure anything will happen in january UNLESS we get a stupid offer from either Spurs or United, but ash will be off in the summer. I think for him to move in january any deal (including players) will have to be in the 'Milner category'. As Houllier said, 'stupid money'.

krfeskivilla, what would you take, 15m now or 10m in the summer?

Neither. Certainly not £15m now, and I think we would get a lot more than £10m in the summer. Not worth selling for that money, might as well let him run contract down. He cost £10m, and is a far better player now than when we bought him. Financially we don't need to sell, so if he goes it's on our terms. Where the compromise can come in is the valuation of any players in part exchange. also, if as reported, United Liverpool and Arsenal are also interested that also increases the price. Then if Citeh come in....

Ash was injured spu 4 life. And i dont want any of spurs cast offs hogging up the wade budget just to sell them a year after. Ash will stay, if he leaves it will be to utd i'd say and it is a shirt i wouldnt mind seeing him in because i no his career will take off their unlike milners career choice. It will take big money in jan anyway and tbh i would just let his contract run and forget the money because it will go in lerners pocket anyway and not on transfers but we no lerner he will sell get the money and not replace young like he did with milner, Mug.
