Sunday's Aston Villa Press Transfer Talk!
Now this IS a decent link! www.dailymail.co.uk have a report by Joe Bernstein saying that Gerard Houllier wants 34-year-old Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given at Villa.
With Given consigned to the bench after Joe Hart grabbed his place, Houllier is hoping to offer Brad Friedel to City as 2nd choice keeper and begin his re-shaping of the Villa side with a new, younger keeper.
All sounds a bit far fetched really doesn`t it? Especially as Given is reported to be on £100k a week at City.
The Daily Mail also repeat the link to Lille`s French defender Adil Rami rated at around £5million.
Daily Star reporter Paul Hetherington has an article on Gerard Houllier insisting players move closer to Villa.
I wonder if this includes Ashley Young who has moved further South?
Anyway, the report says that Brad Friedel, Richard Dunne, Stephen Ireland and Stephen Warnock all still live in the North West and will be shown the Villa Park door if they won`t move closer to their place of work.
Seems reasonable to me...! The report claims that Ireland will go to Celtic on loan, something Neil Lennon has already denied so....!
Ralph Ellis at The Mirror says that Stoke are looking to buy Stephen Ireland for around £5million. Blackburn are also said to be interested.
Harry Pratt at The Daily Star also have the £5million to Stoke for Stephen Ireland.

Alan Nixon at The People reports that Sven Goran Eriksson wants Emile Heskey at Leicester City. The Foxes would like him on loan but Heskey apparently is only interested in a permanent move.
Again, can`t see this one, we need more strikers in not more out (apart from the lazy John Carew who I`d happily drive out of the club to wherever the journeyman should wish)...
Heskey was quoted the other day: 'I'm okay where I am but I can't rule out a return. Leicester are a massive club. People ask me about it and they have some of the best facilities in the East Midlands and one of the best stadiums.'
Some guff in the News of the World suggesting Manchester United are after Ashley Young at a cut price £13m. No chance.. next!
