November player of the month, yeah yeah, it is late, whatcha gonna do about it?! Click Here

Wise words from Gerard Houllier, agree with every word he says here. He`ll get them sorted or shipped out I`m sure. Full article and quotes: Houllier: Players Forget They Have Fantastic Job

Jonny Gould: In my lifetime, I've seen Aston Villa win football's greatest prizes. Our astonishing rise to glory in winning the league in 1981 followed by Victory in Europe a year later, affords me consolation and inner peace whenever we lose today. And that we won it all, slap bang in the middle of Liverpool's title and European pomp makes those achievements still greater. The Mighty Reds held both titles directly before and after us. For me, Villa remain the club of miracles. Full article: Comparing Aston Villa To Leeds United

Strange one, The Express & Star say that Ashley Young could be fit for the Spurs game on Boxing Day. Reports had said he could be out for a month with ankle trouble. However Gerard Houllier says he only has a small knee injury. AND more importantly, a report in The Guardian says that Villa would rather run down the players contract than sell him now. Hercs barmy post Wigan in the dressing room: DISCLAIMER: I don't know, a little bit of snow and they shut the lot down don't they? Not me though, I struggled to work today, barefoot 21 miles in the snow to work and why? Because I have the British Bulldog spirit! That's why! Full madness: Hercs in The Dressing Room Post Wigan

After our match against Wigan was postponed due to the weather, Marc Albrighton has turned his attention to picking up 3 points against Happy Harry's lot. Describing himself as 'frustrated and deflated' upon learning the Wigan clash was called off, Albie wants to make sure we keep the momentum going from the Baggies clash despite the extended break. Speaking on the Official Site our wing wonder said: Albie Spurred On For Tottenham

This has already been mentioned on the forum, but worthy of a repeat here to make sure all affected fans see it. The club have told fans to keep hold of their tickets from the postponed Wigan clash as refunds will not be issued UNTIL a new date has been set for the game. The Official Site will update as and when refunds are going to be processed.

Paul Brown blog: Villa fans have had many heroes over the years - Brian Little, Paul McGrath, Ian Taylor, Olof Mellberg and Martin Laursen to name but a few. They have wowed the claret and blue faithful with their unquestionable quality, their passion for the shirt and their affable attitude. But who in the current crop has what it takes to be the next Holte End darling? If shirt sales are anything to go by, one name shines more than any other. Full blog: www.avfc.co.uk

Paul Brown: Marc Albrighton insists Villa will benefit from having Stiliyan Petrov back because the skipper will drive the team forward with his leadership skills. Petrov has returned to light training and manager Gerard Houllier expects the central midfielder to be 'competitive again' in the next couple of weeks. Article: www.avfc.co.uk

Paul Brown: Marc Albrighton would love to follow in the footsteps of 'role model' David Beckham - on and off the pitch. Details: www.avfc.co.uk

Members of the first team will be dropping by Villa Village tomorrow to meet fans and sign store merchandise. The second signing event of December will take place tomorrow between 2.30pm and 3.30pm and fans are encouraged to get there early as last weeks event involving Albrighton, Hogg and Lichaj went down a storm. Again the players will only be signing merchandise brought in store on the day but you'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out exactly who will be in attendance.

As mentioned in the last Villa Times, Ian Taylor is doing a live webchat on the official site: Click Here
