Barry Bannan has said that the players have been training with more of a spring in their step following our win against the Baggies.
Speaking to the Official Site Bannan is determined to keep the momentum going against Wigan, given the lift the players felt after the last game and with a run of tricky festive fixtures coming, he knows another 3 points today could be invaluable for the second half of the season.
'That win has given us confidence, it has lifted the whole squad in training and I hope it follows in to the next game.'
Moving forward Bannan knows we've played well enough in most games so far but we've just failed to take our chances and the points and we desperately need to tighten up and find some consistency when it comes to putting games beyond the opposition when we are on top.
'If we build up a head of steam I think we'll be a tough team to beat. Around the Christmas period you need to find a bit of consistency and if you can rack off three or four wins on the bounce you are right back up.'
Today will tell us if we have turned the corner, but it's by no means going to be an easy game. Like usual it depends if we turn up, if we play the way we know we can we will clock up a good victory, if we however play like we have at points then it could turn into a very unhappy weekend.
