Villa Transfer Talk Round Up

Apparently press in Germany are linking Villa defender Curtis Davies, currently on loan at the Foxes, to VFL Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen. The reports suggest he could go for as little as £2.5m with Leicester City also interested in the player who cost us around £10million from WBA. Would it be better to give him another go at Villa ?

The Express linked us yesterday with 24-year-old Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor. He can leave on a free in the summer but according to this report we are interested in a £2million move in January along with Everton and Wolves.

Talksport say that Everton are monitoring the situation of Stephen Ireland who is set for showdown talks at Villa. Liverpool amongst others have also been linked. Oh, and another report returns to the Celtic loan link for Ireland.

The Daily Mail say that Villa are leading the chase for Boro defender David Wheater, a link that has been mentioned several times already.

Richard Dunne is being linked with a January exit following his 'bust up` with Gerard Houllier. Ho hum.

And that, I believe, is that right now. Bit boring really!

I would like to keep Curtis Davis unless someones whilling to pay atleast £5million for him. Steven Taylor cant be as bad as Dunne so 1 in 1 out. Ireland can go for £7million!! =]

Swap Ireland back for Milner? More seriously, the second half of the season is going to be very interesting as players return, juniors mature and a couple of signings are added. I think it is going to be a great time to be a Villa fan again.

Keep Ireland and Davies - they are young and talented and will grow into this team if given a chance - Sidwell clearly has to go now, even though I'm one of his biggest fans he hasn't reproduced that marauding, free scoring blitz of his halcyon Reading days. Beye to follow. We need a striker regardless.

I know there is all this IN THE KNOW stuff......and it is all absolute garbage!! However, for once in my life I am in the know about something!!!!!!! Richard Dunne WILL be sold in January. The row with Houllier/McAllister is just the tip of the iceberg - even without the row he would be sold.

If Dunne goes then we must retain Davies as 2mil for him is a joke unless his wages are so high that he has to go. Don't want Taylor as we need a bigger player. Right here goes please don't go mad but what about..........Scott Dann of the sty? omg i've done it now. Not sure he would come or if the bloose would sell him.
holte ender 1969
Scott Dann?!?!? IF we had anyone from that sty it would surely be Johnson tipped for an England cap by many. Personally I would like some cover or an alternative to warnock at left back. Wayne bridge?
godplayed4villa
Dunne has maybe 1 or 2 more good years. At his best, Dunne might be better than curtis. At the moment Dunne is far from his best so I would MUCH rather have Curtis. Management is pretty simple :P The critical thing now is to hang on to our youth. 4/5 years time we will have a team to rival the best in the league without having spent a dime.
Astriel
Astriel is right and Davies is part of that 'youth'. Desperately need more wing backs but Bridge can go and fly....he's whored himself out for years now and has achieved f all.
