Emile Hes(the)Key To Build On Baggies Win

Emile of the Heskey has called on the team to build on our win against the Baggies, and basically get our acts together in the league again.

Speaking on the Official Site Heskey said he hoped that the game last weekend would act as a springboard for our season and that he was obviously delighted to grab the winning goal on his return.

'It was great to get the goal straight away, we needed the points and the win was the main thing.'

Heskey revealed that he was very frustrated when the injury hit because his form and goalscoring exploits were without doubt, the best since his arrival at the club.

'It was so frustrating to get injured. I was pleased with how I started the season and I have been really good with injuries over the years but this was my first major one where I had to have a proper operation.'

Hopefully with injuries behind him, Heskey is now just focused on helping us improve our league position, start moving up the table and start getting the results we deserve from games.

'We want to push on, we want the West Brom result to be a springboard for us now. We just went through a difficult spell because we were getting major injuries. The young lads came in and did brilliantly, they had game time and I think every single one of them took their chance.'

Emile of the Hesk will get more goals this season i can see it and now that the Gabsta is fit again until he gets a pain in this Cruciate Fingernail then i can see the wins flooding in LOL. the Baggies game was tough and i think Villa will get a win at Wigan and with the confidence brewing whats there to say we cant turn over Spurs while we are at it an all and get 9pts, afterall Spurs only have 2 players, Van Deeeeeeerrr Fart Ass and Gareth Bale of hay. prediction Villa 2-0 Wigan - scores Heskey and Downing

lol, love the title. Just hope he can stay fit, he was hot before he was out and has returned with a goal, can't say fairer than that.

Is anybody else worried that we've become reliant on Emile Heskey to turn our season around?!

There's no doubting that Emile has become a very important part of the starting eleven, as Gerard Houllier looks to rebuild and reshape AVFC. We are certainly a much beter team when Emile is fit and raring, which in truth is exactly how it should be. An experienced England international, who despite the advancing years, still has a lot to offer the club. He took off against West Bromwich Albion exactly where he left off before picking up the injury. Here's hoping now that he enjoys an extended run in the team. We certainly need his input.
