Pre Albion Injuries

Anybody back, or more out for the derby this weekend.

Well the good news so far is that for Albion Chris Brunt and Peter Odemwingie will both have to undergo late fitness tests, with Odemwingie not having trained at all this week with a troublesome groin.

But sadly that's about the best of the news.

Villa will still be without Sidwell, Petrov, Delph, Weimann and Clark is suspended. It has also been confirmed today that Gabby will miss the clash with a chest infection, he played through the illness against Liverpool. Luke Young will also miss the game after picking up a groin injury in training.

Heskey is thought to be back in contention for the game, but it will probably come too soon for Reo-Coker.

Ash is also back following his suspension I believe and Bannan is fit and raring to go again.

The injury list is looking healthier thankfully with Sidwell and Petrov expected back in training by the time we visit Chelsea, Delph should be back in training for the middle of January and Weimann is expected back early in February.

surely gh has to see the light and put two up front. put the fonz and heskey in. and beye gets a run which i like. he's got a bit of creativity in his game which i like.

He absolutely has to play two up top. This one up front is obviously not working for us, and plays right into the oppositions hands. If we cant go with two strikers tomorrow, against the likes of West Bromwich Albion, then I really will be seriously concerned about our immediate future. Three points tomorrow are an absolute must.
