A song for Saturday: Gerard! Gerard! We really find it hard, as f i c k l e fans, to love a man, who left his heart at Anfield. A placard perhaps? Juee football comme les escargots? -- NON! (play football like snails? NO!) Or maybe a banner? If we have to beat someone, we'd prefer it to be Liverpool

Well I only voted Pires, because the unused subs couldn't be voted for - otherwise I'have gone for Licaj or Herd .....

I can't vote in the current poll because formation should depend upon who and where you are playing, and it should be possible to change it during a game to suit circumstances.

or maybe we should sing, "walk on walk on, to the pool, as he'll never be a claret and blue, e'll NEVER be a claret and blue. Jog on Jog on"

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/aston-villa/8192444/Gerard-Houllier-disciplines-Aston-Villa-defender-James-Collins-for-nightclub-visit.html Explains why Collins was so dreadful, think its safe to say his Aston Villa career is over

One up front is not working for us, in fact its a disaster. Got to be two up front from here on in. Probably wont be though. That isn't Houlliers preferred style. As for Man Of The Match for the Anfield humiliation, I dont believe that any one of them out there deserved a nomination. I did as much for the Villa cause that night, and I was sat up in the stand. Give my vote to one of the hot dog sellers outside the ground. At least their efforts warmed me up a bit.
