Juventus Midfielder And Other AVFC Press Talk

Talksport are claiming that both Villa and Wigan are interested in Manchester United`s 28-year-old Polish keeper Tomasz Kuszczak.

The Daily Mail are linking us with 25-year-old Juventus midfielder Momo Sissoko who would cost around £6million and link us once again with Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick.

They also repeat all the other links including Tomas Rosicky, Robbie Keane, Frederic Piquionne and Allan McGregor.

According to this report, Sissoko is interested in a move to the Premier League.

He`sbiggerthanyouandme says: "From what i remember he's a big, strong kid with good pace and can spray the ball around well, very touch in the tackle and can also nick the odd goal or two too, so needless to say I'd be happy with this signing, it's been a while since we've had some height in the middle of the park as well."

Somewhat concerned about the age and quality of the incoming transfers we can expect come January, but then again, anything Houllier does or might do, or in fact doesn't do, hardly fills me with confidence or cause for celebration anyway. I'm just adopting a stance of I'll wait and see, and who knows, I might just be pleasantly surprised. Stranger things have happened.
