Monday's Aston Villa Transfer Talk

Monday's Aston Villa Transfer Talk

Only bit of transfer talk I can see today is in The Mirror.

They claim that Villa are after Middlesbrough defender David Wheater who I`m sure you will remember has been linked to Villa several times under the previous manager.

The Mirror say he will cost a 'bargain` £1.2million because he is out of contract in the summer and will form part of a major January 'shake up` at Villa.

Wheater played for Gary McAllister whilst at Middlesbrough

The paper (full report... click here ) also says Houllier has a strong hand in the market as owner Randy Lerner will let him spend on several areas of the side and landing top younger talent is the plan for most of those captures.

So far we have:

Mmm not sure about that one. The fee may be cheap, what about the wages? And if we are to spend precious resources, do we need another centre half?

wouldnt be accurate without at least two spurs/villa deals in the offing :-) have to say there are one or two possible signings that make real sense, such as Djibril Cisse, who would fit your style perfectly. I know its would ***** most Spurs fans off, but I would definitely have him at WHL.
