Another Player Injured - Take Your Boots Tomorrow!

James Nursey at The Mirror has revealed today we have yet another player out injured!

This time Steve Sidwell who needs an operation for an Achilles problem. This means he`ll miss up to six weeks.

So we have out:

John Carew (calf), Nigel Reo-Coker (medial knee ligament problem), Stiliyan Petrov (knee), Emile Heskey, Gabby Agbonlahor (albeit, back in light training), Fabian Delph (progress steady),

The Mirrorsport also claim that Nigel Hokey-Cokey has turned down a first contract offer, he is currently on around £30k a week in a deal that expires next summer. Apparently he wants around £50k to extend his stay.

osbourne and salifou to be on the bench?

Is this a reflection of the 'harder' training regime???

If its true that Nigel Reo-Coker is looking at pocketing a weekly salary of around the £50k mark, up from £30k, I'd say that there's little doubt that he'll be on his bike once his current deal ends. With Lerner's reduce the wage bill order still presumably in effect, someone needs to tell NRC that his demands aren't going to be met. It aint gonna happen Nige, been nice knowing ya.

:o) It isn't Lerners order glensider, it is fitting in with the new rules. Wages had gone out of whack with turnover as well though and remember, an awful lot of those wages were seen sitting on the bench having not been able to make the grade and/or not fancied once bought (trying to word that so it isn't a dig at the previous manager as that isn't the point!)
