Blues - That Header

Blues - That Header

Whilst media outlets react to the nonsense that saw a fan ejected for 'encroaching on the field of play' during the Blues game, the club are obviously well aware of fan feeling.

I've read a few various reports concerning this issue so far but to ensure everybody reads the full comments of General Krulak, I'll reproduce them below.

'Stewards: I spoke with John Handley (Head of Security) re. the steward issue.

'He recognizes, as we all do, that the stewards have a great deal to do with the atmosphere around the Club. If they are judicious in the exercise of their responsibilities...if they understand the concept of 'customer friendly'...they will be far more effective. They need to exercise fairness in the treatment of all fans...home and away.

'John is meeting with all the senior stewards to 're-educate' them on how to carry out their duties. Obviously, they do have a responsibility to ensure health and safety but....how they go about it is very important.

'I HEAR YOU!!! We are already taking action. WE WILL FIX this!! Over zealous stewards can destroy the atmosphere of the Club as fast as poor play.'

The General's thread on the forum

Hopefully in fixing this the club will go further for Kieran Comerford than simply stating 'No further action will be taken.'

We all know the right outcome here, I'd be surprised if the club don't match it.

Well done for recognising the error. Every club has jobsworths and the club have now reacted in the approprite manner. It was an over reaction. It has been identified and it should now be put to bed.

leelindsay... I sit right in front of that steward and he's usually OK but does get his knickers in a twist occasionally. He proper freaked over the nicked hat incident. You'd have thought the lad had insulted his mother or worse. He was seething for a good few minutes after too. Calm down dear. It's only a woolly Villa hat... :)
