Carling Cup Quarter Final Battle

Villa have drawn the plum tie in the Quarter Finals of the Carling Cup...those pesky ball pickers have sent us to the Sty!

As we prepare to welcome the poorer side of Brum tomorrow, we'll now have a double trip to them this season in the week commencing November 29 as we've been drawn away to Birmingham City in the Quarter Finals of the Carling Cup.

In far less interesting news Arsenal are home to Wigan, Wet Spam are home to Man Utd and Ipswich will welcome the Baggies.

Have I said, we visit the Sty?

It's definitely the plum draw and is set to be an absolute battle of a derby.

No doubt they'll be some interesting reaction to this as the day draws on.

I am worried that being out of the country for the first two rounds will affect my chances of getting tickets for the final, prob go to the same boozer after so Deano can meet Robert Webb again ...:)

Oh yes! Bring it on! What a game this is going to be! Anyone remember the league cup tie at St Andrews in the mid 90's when Kev Richardson scored the winner. That was a great atmosphere, we outsang the scum.

Yeah, it was 1-0 both legs wasn't it? Deano got the winner in one too I think...

I might be on holiday this day :( I think the game itself will be great but i'd hate to get knocked out against the scum. I have full faith we wont though.

Could do with Paul Tait to behave like a tit and push Richardson into the crowd!!

I bet the coppers are chuffed haha! Midweek match at the Sty. Would be good to see a return of the face masks that many people wore a couple of years ago. Om another note, on the intro Jon, you say we are prepararing 'for our visit to the poorer side of Brum tomorrow'??? You might want to change that!!! We are welcoming our neighbours from the small bit of Brum that still likes the B-lose . . . . . Small Heath.
