wont it ruin the pitch? :L
Tr1dent
A great example of how the club can not win. We secure a great bit of Kudos for the club and some fans question it. Trident they never went mental because fans could ruin the pitch (although that may well have been a quote by some club dogsbody), it was an issue because of the potential for trouble, FA fines because of lack of crowd control etc. The Villa pitch is now a predominantly synthetic pitch that withstands everything that is thrown at it. That is why it is as good at the end of the season as it is at the start. The old days of green sand and mud have long since gone.
