Stiliyan Petrov Injury Update


Update on Stiliyan Petrov who limped off in the game v Sunderland last Saturday.

It seems the Villa skipper has injured his knee and will undergo a scan this week to find out the extent of the injury.

Gerard Houllier said:

'He will have a scan. I think it could be a lateral ligament injury which may mean two or three weeks (to recover) if it is a grade one injury.'

Ominously he warns: 'If it's a grade two or three, maybe it could be longer.'

Not got a big enough squad to cope with the injuries, lets hope he is back sooner rather than later!

Any player is a miss in a squad as small as ours. I agree that Gabby is a bigger loss, his threat upfront and Ash back on the wing would see the new look footie given a cutting edge
