'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dunne Needs A Clean Sheet

No there's nothing wrong with him, he's just targeting some more claret and blue clean sheets to help us rack our points up this season.

Speaking on the Official Site ahead of our interesting clash with Chelsea this weekend, Dunne wants our back line to tighten up and stop leaking goals so we can give ourselves a better chance of picking up all 3 points and going on a winning streak again.

Dunne explains that when he and Stephen Warnock started off we got two clean sheets in succession but then went ages before doing the same again. He says the team were desperate for one to help boost confidence and sees parallels with the start to this season.

'It's similar now, we've had one then conceded again. We just want to get into a run now with keeping it tight at the back. If we can keep clean sheets, it gives us the confidence that we'll score goals and win more games than we'll draw or lose this season.'

Picking Chelsea to keep our next clean sheet is quite a tall order, but it'd be a hell of a game to do it in.

If we turn up and perform like we did at Spurs then we've every chance of coming away from B6 with maximum points, however if we turn up like we did against Everton we could well be crying on our way home.

If that's going to happen, Dunner will have to pull his finger out and put in his first decent performance of the season.
