Villa Gossip - Two Villans Out - One Spurs In?

The press are linking Villa with Tottenham Hotspur and Croatian attacking midfielder Niko Kranjcar. Monaco are also being linked to the 26-year-old who the press say is rated around £8m.

The Daily Mail say that 31-year-old Villa striker John Carew will weigh up options and listen to other options before deciding on his Aston Villa future. Carew can leave on a free this coming summer and hasn't agreed a new deal with Villa. Will they offer him one? Not convinced they will to be honest.

He said: 'I`m in a very comfortable position. The spell at Villa has been fantastic and I have enjoyed myself in England, but I will now see what opportunities and challenges turn up.'

I'd think he will be off, he's drifted from club to club throughout his career and at 31 can get one more big pay day by moving?

Sami Mokbel at The Daily Star says that Nigel Hokey-Cokey
is interesting Turkish giants Galatasaray who is also available on a free this summer. As the report states and you'll already know, all players who can leave in the summer are able to talk to other clubs from January and can sign pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs. Starsport says that they 'understand' approaches have already been made. Houllier however might have something to say about that as he might be looking to offer the midfielder a new contract.

Would you offer NRC a contract? I would, still only 26 and plenty more to come from him surely?

Can anyone really see any business being done between Spurs & Villa? I just think we are too much of a threat to them for them to strengthen our squad with any of their players.... Also, wouldn't give Carew a new contract, don't think his heart is with us any more, but with deffo give Hokey-Cokey one, think he can be revitalised under Houlier

Whatever happens I think we should try our damn hardest and sign Lassana Diarra from Madrid and show some ambition. If we could marry that kind of quality signing with a striker of some ability then we're looking pretty solid.

I think we need to replace petrov, he isnt fast enough and give away silly fouls. I would love to sign Gago from madrid, I think that would show other clubs that we mean buisness. We also need a striker I dont rate gabby or heskey and carew could be leaving, I wish we would give delfouneso a proper chance. Would love to see darren bent signed or bellamy.

we have won the european cup (champions league) we are only 1 point below you and had a manager change our best player wants to stay at our club and is looking to sign a new deal and urs wants to leave, probably coz he has realized the only cup arsenal have a chance of winning is the under 11s league
