Which Players Would You Keep + Hokey-Cokey

Looks like Nigel Hokey-Cokey's luck might have changes as Gerard Houllier has been singing the midfielders praises.

NRC, who looked certain to leave under MON appears to have a fresh chance under our new boss.

GH said:

'I think he has done well for us. We needed someone who has got the grit to win the ball back. He has got a specific job for the team and he is doing it well. Don't forget, he has hardly played since the beginning of the season. We need to get him into games. He can read the game also, because he is like a vacuum sweeper in front of the defence. He can pick up the ball from the opposition in an area where we need to.'

He also adds that the whole team have to work at regaining possession and winning the ball, not rely on just a few.

Talking of Hokey Cokey - amongst others, we asked in our last poll:

Which of these potential bosmans would you keep?

NRC and Carew 48%
Nigel Reo-Coker 21%
Sidwell, Carew and NRC 13%
None, sell for nominal in Jan 8%
John Carew 4%
None, let them leave in summer 3%
Sidwell and NRC 2%
Sidwell and Carew 1%
Steve Sidwell 0%

I think the majority of Villa fans have always wanted to keep NRC and to have him play. It shows how wrong managers can get things. Similar to when MON didnt play Luke Young, he played a game and the fans cheers his every touch.

100% correct villa_de Carew was totally inept today ... he may be a fan favourite but we need forwards to snap up the chances we create... and Keane at 29 is not the option
