Mystic Mug 'In Your Face Lawro' !

Well, Mystic Mug is a smug git this week! Not only did he beat Lawro in the prediction but he also got the first correct score prediction of the season!

So far:

Hammers - Villa win, both right
Newcastle away - Lawro said Newcastle win CORRECT... Mystic Villa win .. WRONG
Everton at home, Lawro said Villa win CORRECT - Mystic said 0-0 draw WRONG
Stoke away - Villa lost, Lawro CORRECT, Mystic was WRONG again
Bolton home - 1-1 draw, Lawro and Mystic both said Villa win WRONG
Wolves away - 2-1 to Villa, Lawro WRONG - Mystic CORRECT and with a bullseye on the score as well (first one for either)

So far 3-2 to Lawro and one correct score to Mystic

This time around Lawro says 2-0 to Spurs saying they looked good against FC Twente, adding on the BBC site, "None of this playing-for-a-draw stuff, they've gone out to Werder Bremen and then again against Twente to play football and win the games. Occasionally that approach might see teams come unstuck but at this stage it doesn't matter because I think Spurs are going to win enough games to qualify."

And on us: "As for Villa, they are also on the back of a win - but it's a little different given they were hanging on at the end against Wolves last week. Had Wolves had a bit more about them up front, they could have got a draw at least. It will take time for Gerard Houllier's philosophy and his tactics to bed in at Villa. With that in mind, I see Spurs getting the win."

Ok, so Lawro says a win to Spurs and so Mystic is going to disagree to try to make it 3-3. However no matter how much he rubs it, he hasn't the balls to say a Villa win and is going for a well earnt 1-1 draw.

Our latest poll asks for your predictions and feel free to leave your score prediction in the article comments below as well, you know you want to!

2-3 to Villa and Heskey will score again...

1-2 to the Villa. Late penalty my Heskey after a beautiful goal by Albie put us level

Agree the draw - but 2 -2. The most interesting point will be to see the team as GH has now time to see at least all of the players once/ twice and should be beginning to form opinions. Will be play Albrighton away from home - or Ireland for that matter? Maybe a case for a more robust midfield looking for the break.

bale and VdV to tear you a new one!

Gonna be a boring 0-0.

0-0 to Villa

Spurs are blowing hot and cold at the moment, and could well suffer a post-european hangover, the Villa are starting to string results together and looked to be playing some good stuff in patches last weekend, 1-2, Villa win.

I'm going 3-1 Villa. Spurs will be knackered after Wednesday, whilst we'll be fresh and ready for action. Plus they've got real problems at centre-back...UTV

Yawn - im going 2-1 to the Villa. Lawro knows nothing. That Octopus has a better record in Germany!

im predicting a 1-1 'spurs win' again

1 nil to Villa with at least on injury and a special goal...Spurs defence is their weak spot at the moment and with Albie, Downing, Young and even Heskey on form - we actually stand a chance of winning away again.

I'm inexplicably confident of a win for this one. Villa to win by the odd goal, we won't keep a clean sheet though.
villan of the north
Got nothing to fear against spurs they arnt that much above us, they have VDV and Bale the only outstanding two, keep them quiet and the playing field is even.

I agree a high scoring draw - i'm going for 3-3 with our goals coming from midfield, end of the heskey purple patch... Young2 Downing1... Brad will find it hard to keep a clean sheet for this game with the way Spuds play... Hoping for a 3-2 Villa win because of his Heroics.. however my head says 3-3 to Villa

Hey guys - just thought I would point you to this little article from a Spurs fan. http://www.wearetottenham.net/blogs/19-stu/133-ten-things-i-hate-about-villa Have a read I found it most amusing. The language in there is almost implying that he's slightly jealous of our fantastic club - he goes to great lengths to try and find fault and 99% of it is absolute rubbish. The funniest part is the criticism of our chants - I think this is because he knows that our travelling support will drown out the boring moronic chant of "Come On You Spursssss" that appears for about 5 mins once per game. I actually laughed when reading this - just shows you that some people really do have no class!

3-1 to the claret and blues. We're more than capable of rolling over Redknapp's shower, whether Mark Lawrenson thinks so or not.
