Well done to Emile - genuinely hope he can keep it up. I know how much stick he has taken, but I guarantee it would not take more than a few good outings to turn the tide. As for our second-placed man against Blackburn, I just spotted a great headline on Bham Mail website: "Ashley Young's double seals a great start for Houllier". I didn't even know Ash had a double, and it looks like he's just as good as the original! Why don't we play them both at the same time? :-)

I am so pleased for Emile, he takes a lot of stick off a lot of people, but he always gives 100%. I am a big fan of Emile and i think he deserves more recognition for his efforts, he takes a lot of kicks for the team. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU, EMILE. SHANDY-BASS

Had to be Emile. He transformed the team following his arrival, because up until his equaliser there was only ever going to be one winner in that game, and it most certainly wasn't us. He took his goal very well, and looked particularly lively for the rest of the game. He alone very definitely ensured that Gerard Houllier wasn't going to kick off his Villa Park reign with a disappointing defeat. Well played Emile. More of the same please.

holte ender, villa fans on here especially are very fickle...Pleased with heskey, i have always said he tries hard but just doesnt work out for him most the time, The first two games in the world cup he was the only player who actually did anything, he held the ball up which was his job but noone else did anything so credit to him. I wont hide the fact that he has been poor for alot, well a hell of a lot of villa games but under houllier he might blossom, he did at liverpool so why not at villa? Infront ashley could be what he needs to get scoring, after all a striker is judged on their goals.
P.Avfc
I have to say i totally agree with holte ender 1969 and P.avfc, I could never boo or harass a Villa player as it would be like wanting to do bad in life and want to make things difficult for yourself ! Heskey as we all know is a grafter he works hard and he frustrates us cos he hasnt scored enough at times yes but remember its a team game guys we are all in it together we all want same thing Villa to win trophies again, and we aint gonna do that by showing future transfer signings that we can turn on you if you dont perform and score or what we want ! if we show other players we will stick by you and support you they will respect that a lot !
ClivetheVillan
I think Heskey is a dreadful player, well past his 'prime' but credit where credit is due...he made one, scored one and changed the game so well done Emile.
juddy
I think 'dreadful player' is a little over the top juddy. The guy has enjoyed a fairly successful career at both club and international level, and while his England days might now be over, he still has experience, if nothing else, to offer AVFC at these troubled times.
