Gabby Agbonlahor is the latest name to be added as a worry for the Wolves derby clash this Sunday.
Agbonlahor has to limp off on 31 minutes with what was thought to be a recurrence of the problem that kept him out of most of our pre season warmup. Thankfully the outlook is a little brighter today as the calf problems seem to be cramp based, rather than a tear or anything serious.
Speaking to the Birmingham Post Houllier said:
'Will Agbonlahor be fit for Sunday? I don't know. The most reassuring thing he said was that it is the two calves that he felt at the same time. One calf, you might think it is a possible tear, but two calves so probably it involves cramp or fatigue.'
Houllier adds that Gabby said that he had felt the same thing during the home leg of the Europa tie where he also limped off, but was fine to play the next game, so they are hoping for the same outcome here.
Richard Dunne is still likely to be missing following his knee problem that saw him subbed against Bolton so we'll probably have a centre half pairing of Collins and Cuellar again.
Ciaran Clark suffered a dead leg last night so nothing serious there either but you would expect Collins to come back in.
On Clarkie, Houllier added:
'It's a dead leg, exactly what Stephen Ireland had on Tuesday in training. I am collecting them at the moment. It is a good sign because it shows we train as we play.'
There were comments that Carew looked a little limpish when he was subbed for Heskey, but at least so far there's been no confirmation of that today so Carew should be in with a shout for Wolves.
The only other issues are our long term absentees, namely Delph and Weimann, otherwise we should have a fullish squad for the derby.
