Being aloof and patting yourself on the back for being 'A real supporter' is starting to get on my nerves a bit (not just the above poster by the way). I'm a Villa fan of 25 years, a season ticket holder and I'm not going tonight because we have been playing some utter tripe and I can't find the motivation to attend to watch more of the same. Does this mean I'm not a supporter of Villa...no...it means that I'm pretty sure that it will be more of the same, 10 minutes of good football followed by rubbish; and for that I can't find it in me to drive to Aston. By the way, if you are going to criticise, at least run your comments through a spell check.

Sorry juddy if im not the type of person who checks my spelling on the internet. I go every week even if we are playing poor so i class that as a good supporter. Meanwhile those who complain and whinge when they arn't even there to me are the opposite. It sounds to me that you are a part time supporter and only back the team when they are playing well, judging by your comment. You obviously havn't been to villa park much then because the football we played under o'neil was boring and down the years has been either worse or we have been losing alot more than we do now...Judging by people's comments i have read it just seems that we havn't got a good fan base when i thought we had and we have very fickle fans on here especially.

Did you actually read what I typed?! 'Part time supporter and only back the team when they are playing well' 'haven’t been to villa park much'....I'm a season ticket holder, so I go down for the home games...you know, the ones my season ticket covers?! If you go to every game home, away, cup....kudos to you, pat yourself on the back. We have a fantastic fan base but the current economic climate coupled with the fact we have been playing some rubbish (large parts of last season and CERTAINLY this season) = low attendances, fact. If you feel the need to shout about what a great supporter you are, find a dark room and go for it....but keep the sanctimonious claptrap to yourself please. By the way, we are currently one down to a poor Blackburn side but you’ll know that because you’ll be there getting patted on the back by all the ‘real’ fans eh?

So have my comments actually said that people shouldnt comment on this site juddy? I am voicing my opinion as you say others are allowed to so if you dont like that why dont you stop posting on here? Its the same thing...I stick by my opinion i couldnt care less if you think im ignorant so what? I wont lose any sleep, I dont think its fair when people constantly moan on forums about when the team plays poor or we dont sign anyone, they cant even be bothered to go and see then once in a while...You think my comments are applying to everyone who didn't attend last night and people who dont always go, there not, its for the people who just moan and moan and never even go to watch the them...Unless they want wembley tickets and all of a sudden they are swarming to get them and all crying and moaning that they cant and blaming the club when to be honest, its fantastic how they do it, basically saying if you dont watch us regularly then ***** off...Why should they have wembley tickets? Like i said i can voice my opionion all i want, and i think that people have some cheek slagging of the club but not even going down to support them...And that doesnt apply to everyone who doesnt go before you go on.

So its ignorant for thinking people who are villa fans and are always moaning should at least go to a few games? I am a big villa fan and i want the ground full every week to support the team, It gives the villa a bad name when we are having attendances like 18,000 it is appauling.
