'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fortress Villa Park And Bolton

Captain Petrov has called on Villa's 12th man to make Villa Park a cauldron of noise this weekend as we go for another home 3 pointer.

Speaking on the Official Site as we all build towards Gerard Houllier's first proper Villa Park appearance, Petrov commented that previous good results against Bolton in recent years would count for very little this weekend and the team cannot go into the match thinking the points are secure.

'It's a tough game, we need to be at out very best if we want to win the match and take all three points.

'People will talk about past results but those results count for nothing.'

Injury news is as expected for Villa so far, but Gary Cahill will be suspended for Bolton and that will be a huge boost for us as we week to keep a favourable home record this season.

Speaking of the previous matches, the club have again compiled a compilation (that really doesn't sound right!) of previous goals against Bolton in an AVTV freeview piece - ahhhh hopefully we'll see a few more like that come the weekend.

Apparently if you look carefully you'll see a Zone Dweebie just shy of 2:30 minutes in, that is if you believe the self publicity by one member of the site on the forum today.

It's like a modern day 'Where's Wally' which I'm sure will keep us all entertained.

I'm optimistic that Saturday will be a good day, last game for KM so the players will want to give him a good send off if their loyalty is as they say it is....Houllier in the stands, so the boys will be on their toes as it's now game on for first XI places and we should have a reasonable crowd in because of ticket prices.....UTV
