Unoial Villa News...

Aston Villa have released an official statement concerning the shirt shenanigans which have been a source of anger for many fans. No Need To Get Shirty

Houllier - Owen - Villa... 2+2= ? Full link: Michael Owen Linked With Aston Villa (Again!)

Little bit of weekend press talk about our new manager Gerard Houllier. Alan Nixon of The People claims that Gary McAllister will say yes to the offer to become Houlliers assistant at Villa. Another says he had his heart checked before taking the job and he also says there are funds + he'll hopefully play a more technical game. Full details: Houllier Press Talk + McAllister Coming?

Vital Boro: Middlesbrough coach Gary McAllister is set to join Aston Villa and link up with their new manager Gerard Houllier. McAllister only arrived at the Riverside over the summer, but is wanted by Houllier, who was his boss while he played at Liverpool, following his recent appointment as Martin O'Neill's successor at Villa Park. Dan Harrison from the Official Site spoke with caretaker manager Kevin MacDonald after the Stoke defeat - still can't believe we were cheated out of a draw by Pennant - who said: 'I'm very disappointed, obviously. But you know that happens. I am disappointed - and we felt but we only saw it quickly - that it might not have been a free-kick and if it was it should have been a little bit further back. But that happens in football. The decision was given and we lost a football match. I thought we actually played quite well but you know when you come to Stoke how difficult it is going to be.' He also admits Villa missed too many chances and Stoke got their bit of luck in the end. For Petrov and other reactions: Post Stoke Defeat Reactions - MacDonald/Petrov +

astvil123: Full credit to Villa, the lads played well and didn't deserve that at all! I think we can all agree that we couldn't ask for too much more from the players after that performance because they did everything right and played very, very well. The only point some people could make is that when we were leading 1-0 at around 65 minutes gone you would have liked an experienced manager (Gerard Houllier) to make a change to tighten things up in midfield and defensively but it was Kevin MacDonald giving out the orders today and I think that was the only fault of Villa today, that Houllier wasn't there but not a lot could have been done about that. Fieldy: Yes the zone dweebies at Sky have done it again, although to be fair as fixture moves go this one is slightly painless. The match was due to take place at Ewok Park on Saturday, November 20th but now it will kick off at 1.30pm on the Sunday (Nov 21), wherein it shall be duly shown on Sky Sports. A minor annoyance for the travelling fans, but useful for those with a couch.

General Krulak has explained how disappointed the Club are at the production faults in the new replica shirts leading to the further delays to it's launch Club 'Hugely Disappointed' In Kit Delay

Little bit of press talk today about our new manager Gerard Houllier. Alan Nixon of The People claims that Gary McAllister will say yes to the offer to become Houlliers assistant at Villa. No approach will be made until Houllier has his feet under the desk at Villa - which WILL happen once the situation with the French Football Federation is sorted, hopefully this week. McAllister is currently employed at Middlesbrough as Gordon Strachan's coach. More... Houllier Press Talk + McAllister Coming?

Thought for the day: There are two excellent theories for arguing with women. Neither one works.
